After art school, where I got to flex my brain with conceptual thinking and shape skills, I found myself diving into the art world as a curator and critic. But now, I'm back to getting my hands dirty and creating. Nature is my inspiration, and I'm all about capturing those cozy, tactile sensations – like feeling the earth beneath our feet.
As a crafter, I'm absolutely fascinated by textures and the hands-on feel of it all. I really get into the sensations of each material, thinking about how to make that magic happen in every dice I create. With a mix of know-how and a sprinkle of secret sauce, I draw up our ideas and mold them with care, putting heart and soul into every piece.
Being a sole artisan handling all aspects of production, including designing, polishing, and shipping, I can only produce a limited number of dice sets annually. However, this approach ensures each set receives the utmost attention to detail and craftsmanship, resulting in high-quality, handcrafted dice.
My dice, made from resin, are durable and balanced, with all components crafted from the same material for consistency.
My dice are crafted in my two-room apartment, which doubles as my workshop. Here, I personally oversee every step of production, from raw materials to the finished product, eschewing the services of large-scale manufacturers.
With several years of crafting experience under my belt, I've weathered the challenges of starting amidst a pandemic and persevered through it all. Trust me, I've learned a thing or two along the way.
My brand, "Chort," finds its roots in Slavic culture, drawing from the concept of the devilish creature known as "chort." I strive to imbue this folklore into the essence of my brand, reflecting it through the aesthetic design of boxes, pouches, and the overall presentation of my creations.
