Why do handmade dice cost more than regular dice?
Time and Effort: Handmade dice are made by hand, not machines. Each step—mixing the resin, pouring, curing, sanding, and painting—takes time. The artist ensures each die is crafted carefully, which adds to the cost.
Quality Materials: Handmade dice often use high-quality resin that resists yellowing and lasts longer. Mass-produced dice use cheaper resin that can degrade over time. The resin used for handmade dice also tends to have better clarity.
Customization: Handmade dice can be fully customized. You can choose specific colors, designs, and even add unique elements like glitter or small objects inside the resin.
Limited Production: Handmade dice are typically made in small batches or even individually. This limited production means the artist can focus on the details of each die.
Expertise: Crafting high-quality resin dice requires skill and experience. The dicemaker must have a strong understanding of the materials, techniques, and design principles to create a functional and aesthetically pleasing set.

Why are your dice more expensive than other handmade dice?
Some companies say their dice are handmade, but they use larger factories, often in places like China, to produce them. Actual making, such as sanding and polishing, is done by workers in the factory, not the original designer. While these companies aren't lying, they don’t always share the full truth about how their dice are made. The process is still mass production, not truly homemade.
In contrast, my dice are made only by me. From the first step to the final product, I handle everything: mixing the resin, pouring it, sanding each die by hand, and polishing them.

Are your dice balanced?
Only true casino-grade dice are perfectly balanced, and D&D dice don’t need to be. When it comes to D&D dice, the most important factor is how you roll them. It’s also essential to consider how you throw your dice and the surface you roll them on, as these can influence the outcome.
The short answer to the question 'Are dice balanced?' is no, not 100%. Even dice from popular brands like Chessex, MDG, Koplow, PolyHero, Q Workshop, and others aren't perfectly balanced.
For printing dice inserts, I use resin with a density of 1.11 g/cm³, while the epoxy resin I use for pouring typically ranges from 1.1 to 1.2 g/cm³. Light pigments, like resin pigment pastes or alcohol inks, don’t significantly affect the density. Additionally, I use a pressure pot to minimize bubbles.
Handmade dice, thanks to the use of the pressure pot, are often more balanced than mass-produced sets!
And really, that’s okay. If your dice aren’t noticeably unbalanced, they’re unlikely to affect your game.

RAW or finished?
RAW Dice are taken directly from the mold, which means they may have some imperfections, such as uneven faces, small voids (filled with UV resin), scratches, or a matte finish that requires polishing. These dice will need sanding, polishing, and inking. If you choose a RAW set, I offer a detailed tutorial on sanding and inking available [here]. RAW dice come with a thick, cotton pouch featuring a logo.
Finished Dice are carefully polished to a high gloss finish. I will invest extra time and attention to ensure your set looks great. I’ll reach out to you via email to confirm your ink colour choice. Please note that the finishing process may take up to two months. Finished dice come with a logoed antique white box, a certificate of authenticity, a sticker, and a thick, logoed pouch.
I aim to meet every deadline, and if there's a rare delay, I will send free raw singular dice as an apology. While I can't control shipping speed, you can contact me if you have trouble tracking your package.
